Dale Myrberg, Utah’s own World Class Yo-Yo man has dazzled audiences all over the United States, Japan, Australia, Singapore, and Hawaii, with his intricate and physics defying yo-yo tricks. Dale is a two time silver medal winner and the 1996 World Champion. He won the l994 National Freestyle Championship and in l995 was among four players presented the “National Master Award” for his contributions to the sport of yo-yoing. In 2001 he was named “National Grand Master,” the highest achievement award on a National level.
At age 15, Dale was the Utah State Champion, worked for Duncan yo-yo’s and was then considered a pro.
He has appeared with the Smothers Brothers in two of their television specials and often with them as a guest. He also performed for the King of Country Music, the late, Roy Acuff at the Grand ole Opry. In 1998 Dale was featured in a country music video with a new artist, Clint Daniels. The song ‘When I Grow Up’. Dale has starred in Utah and National televison commercials.
In l998 he retired from Utah Power after 32 years of designing power lines, and took on his dream profession as a full-time Yo-Yo Man. He also retired from competing. He performs a 45 min. stage show, makes special appearances and judges national and world competitions.
During the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics Dale performed daily at The Olympic Rendevous @ Samsung, wowing the International crowd.
Dale says, ‘when he grows up he wants to be a kid.’
